Other Special Gifts....

This is another one of our favorite gifts! These needlepoint's are over 30 years old. My mom made them when she was pregnant with my brother. I thought they were absolutely precious and I'm so glad Jackson can use them in his nursery now. Thanks mom! We will cherish these! Love you!

We got the transportation system from my Nana and all of my Aunts! Thanks so much....we will definitely be using this!

We loved this sweet basket with Jackson's name on it. We used it to put his books in there.

Love this precious little backpack for Jackson! Can't wait to fill it up and take it with us! :)

As Hank would say....It's An Old Family TRADITION!

This was one of the most special gifts Brandon and I received for Jackson. This Christmas stocking was handmade by Bop (my dad's mom). Bop has sewn probably over 25 stockings for our families. Christmas would not be complete without our stockings made from Bop hanging on the mantle. We each had our own growing up and then as my family grew, Bop made a stocking for each of us (because my mom kept the one she made for me when I was a kid). We truly appreciate this and we know Jackson will LOVE and cherish his memories during the Christmas season just like we did! I know how much time goes in to sewing each bead and sequin on this stocking. We love you!

It's Pouring!

On Sunday we were blessed again with a another beautiful shower at my sister in law's house. My 4 best friends hosted this shower (Alli, Deena, Megan and Melissa). It was another magical day and we had so much fun. All of my girlfriends and co workers came to share in the fun. It was great to visit with old co workers, new co workers, childhood friends, Brandon's friend Amanda (who drove in from Austin) and family members! This weekend was extra special because my best friend from college, Megan Brown drove in from ABILENE, TX with her mom!!! Can you believe it? She's amazing and always knows how to calm me down. She also brought her little puppy Lilly Sue (who played with Parker all weekend)! Thank you to all my girls who made this day happen. I know you all worked so hard! I love you dearly!

My best friend Mega, who drove from Abilene to share this special weekend with us!

Let It Rain!

This past weekend we had Jackson's second baby shower. This one was hosted by 11 (yes, you heard me right!) of my mom's girlfriend's. It was an absolutely magical day. The company was great and the food was delicious! Thank you to all of my hostesses for being a part of our lives and sharing a special day with me and Jackson. We appreciate all of your thoughtfulness and are blessed to have you as family friends! Love you all!

Here are pictures of the shower at Vicki Johnston's house. Thanks Vicki for opening your home to us. It was a beautiful day!

Missing you, too!

As you all know, today I had a baby shower at work hosted by my 3rd grade team. Well my team teacher, Glynis had my students write letters to me and she gave them to me at the shower. I'm posting a few of the really cute ones. This was such a great idea. I've missed those kids so much and this just verified how much they've missed me too. I promised them a visit to see them and tell them hello before the school year is over. In return, I made a home video and sent it to my long term substitute. She is going to share the video with both of my classes tomorrow morning and then we are going to have a conference call so they can hear my voice. I can't wait! The video is posted on this post. Enjoy!

This one is from two of my most creative students in my class...so sweet!

This letter is from a student who has struggled academically up until about January and she just turned it around...I'm so proud of her and she is a sweetheart! She always asks about Parker and Brandon!

I love this letter! This student is precious! He calls Jackson "Junior" and he asked if I could please nickname him Michael Jackson. Not to mention his oh so accurate picture of me (with the BIG belly)! LOL!

This letter is from one of the sweetest boys in my class. His mom is my room mom!

Erik is such a thoughtful student!

Jackson's First Baby Shower!

Today was an amazing day! My 3rd grade team hosted a baby shower for Jackson at my school. They went above and beyond. The theme was baseball and everything correlated. The food menu was: hot dogs with all the fixings, chips, chili, peanuts, cracker jacks and root beer! The cake was even a baseball made out of cupcakes. Each table had stadium style bubble gum. My hat's off to you Jean, Edith, Glynis and Nelly! You outdid yourselves. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful team to work with. Almost the entire staff was there to celebrate with us today. You guys made me feel so special and we are so thankful for all of your generosity and support! Jackson got some precious things and we can't wait to see that little man in all his new outfits. :) I miss everyone at Juan Seguin Elementary! Can't wait to walk down those halls and see everyone's smiling faces! Love you all!

This day was also extra special because my mom and my sister in law were able to celebrate with me. It means so much to us that Jackson is so loved already! Love you guys!

I'm sorry...so sorry!

Hello everyone! Well, I have to start off by apologizing to everyone for not being on top of my blogging. We've had a lot going on in the past few months. But I'm going to really try to stay on top of this, especially now that Jackson's due date is getting closer and closer! Here's a little update on our family:

* I just finished Spring Break (it was a GREAT one...I spent a lot of time with my mom)
* Brandon has been working non stop around this house to make it perfect for baby Jackson
* Jackson is measuring big and the Dr. said she will be inducing early!
* Parker is getting really spoiled...he has no clue what's about to hit him!

Our main accomplishment lately has been decorating Jackson's nursery. My sweet mom and sweet husband have helped out so much and we appreciate all of the hard work! Papa J has been out of the country for the past 2 weeks and won't be home for another week and so we're dying for him to see Jackson's room. When he left, it was a work in progress! Brandon's mom has also been over to see the nursery, as well as Alli and my sweet nephew Griffin. Everyone approves! Griffin even got to check out his cousins crib! There's still a lot to be done but the big items are finished. We have Jackson's bedding, furniture, curtains, rug, letters above the nursery and a few little things to put on his shelves. It's a great starting point! We can't wait for our precious little bundle of joy to arrive!

Jackson's crib, curtains and dresser drawers.

Jackson's hutch; I still need a changing pad to go in that cover! We got some Golden Books and Dr. Seuss books today from my Aunt Heather (we just put them on the hutch for now). We're thrilled to have them...they've been passed through my family..s.tarting with my cousin, Brittany! As you can see, Jackson has a picture of his cousin, Griffin! He can't wait to meet Griff and get in to a lot of trouble together! :)

Jackson's baseball lamp (the base of the lamp is a bat and the shade looks like a baseball). We ordered a painted alphabet canvas to go above the dresser...hopefully it will be in this week!

His room is almost finished! The rug matches almost perfectly!

Jackson's crib bedding. We can't wait to see him in his crib!

Brandon mounted the letters on the wall...that was a piece of work!
