Giving Thanks for The 1st Time!

We are so blessed to have both of our families in Texas. This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with my family at my Uncle Ben's house. We had fried turkey, Nana's Italian Dressing, green bean casserole, ham, macaroni, cornbread and all the fixings. We topped off dinner with some fabulous desserts! It is always so much fun to spend time with family. Jackson had fun playing with his cousins and seeing all of his Aunt's and Uncles and grandparents. After we ate lunch at Uncle Ben's house, we drove to Moulton so Jackson could see his other side of the family. It's important for me to make sure Jackson sees where his daddy was raised. We ate dinner in Moulton and visited with Grammie, Grandpa, Great Great Grandpa and Great Grandma (Popo and Grannie). Jackson had fun playing on the floor in the living room and he played with Jackson too! We will cherish all the memories with family! We have so many things to be thankful for!

Trick or Treat

This year we headed straight in from College Station (the Texas Tech/A&M football game) to get Jackson ready for his first Halloween. Aunt Alli, Gigi and Papa J came to our house so we could get Jackson dressed and take pictures and take him trick or treating. Aunt Alli helped me carve a pumpkin so we could stuff Jackson in it for some cute pictures. He did okay at first but then he did not like what was happening. We had so much fun trick or treating in our neighborhood but we missed Uncle Jason (who was in Japan for work) and cousin Griffin (who was in Midland with his other grandparents). We will never forget Jackson's 1st Halloween! :) Thanks everyone for helping us celebrate!

Griddler Bowl V

Every year my mom's side of the family gets together to celebrate when Texas A & M plays Texas Tech in football. We started this family tradition when my brother attended A & M and I attended Texas Tech University. We've carried on the tradition even after we both graduated. The tailgating always includes an abundance of alcohol, bacon wrapped dove, washer tournaments and good company. This year the game was in College Station and we rented an RV to set up in the tailgating lot. Jackson went with us this year and he had a blast! The game was on Halloween weekend so we dressed him up as a pumpkin and trick or treated through the parking lot. Jason was unfortunately in Japan but Alli came with us even though she was 7 months pregnant...what a trooper!! Tech lost this year (first year without coach Leach).

Bless Our Baby!

On October 17, 2010 we baptized our son, Jackson. It was such a joyous day to know our baby was baptized and joined our faith while surrounded by family. Jason and Alli are Jackson's Godparent's and we know they will be great mentors to Jackson as he journey's through life. The celebration was held at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Afterwards, everyone went back to Gigi and Papa J's house to enjoy a lunch catered by Maggiano's. We know Jackson enjoyed spending the day with grandparents from both sides of the family, great grandparents from both sides of the family, and cousins, aunts and uncles!

Jackson Weeks 11-20

I wanted to share a few of my favorite pictures of Jackson. He went to the Houstonian pool with his Gigi and swam for the first time. Jackson also mastered sitting in the bumbo seat. I thought that picture was priceless! We also shared great memories with Grammie and Grandpa this month. Jackson always sleeps with his arms behind his head and we were able to capture the moment! Too cute... Jackson is enjoying football season with his daddy. He likes to support the Dallas Cowboys and he has mastered smiling for the camera. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we do! Life sure is busy now with a baby but we can't imagine how life was before our precious little boy joined us!

Jackson weeks 6-10

Jackson has been a world traveler lately. We made a few more visits to Lakeway to meet our friends, Megan and Clark as well as Brandon's friend, Amanda. They were all so excited to meet Jackson for the first time. We had fun on the boat while Jackson stayed home with his babysitter. Gigi, mama and Jackson took many walks in the hills in the stroller. Jackson loves being in Austin!
