Oh my goodness! What can I say? It has been quite some time since I have updated you guys. I think it has taken this long to get used to a baby in the house. :) Here's an update on sweet Jackson over the past month. I promise I'll try my hardest to keep everyone updated from here on out.

Well I know I haven't been sending updates about Jackson since he was born so I thought it was about time I start documenting some things he's doing now and people he's seen and places he's been.
7/4/10: This month Jackson has been quite the world traveler! He visited Moulton, TX for July 4th weekend to see his great grandparents again and to meet some first, second and third cousins on the Fisbeck side of the family. We left Moulton and traveled to Lakeway where Jackson had his very first boat ride! He also saw his first fireworks. He was scared at first but then he loved them and then he did what he does best (he fell asleep during the firework show)! :) While we were in Austin, Jackson got to visit with Aunt Lynne and Uncle Walter...he loves visiting them!
7/7/10: Jackson's Bop and Aunt Ramona stopped by to visit. Jackson had so much fun hanging out and catching up with his great grandma and great Aunt! Aunt Ramona mailed a precious book that has Jackson's name spelled out throughout the book. I know he will love this book and we will cherish it! Thanks!
7/8/10: Jackson rode with mommy and Gigi to Lakeway to hang out at the lake house. Mom goes back to work soon so she's trying to relax as much as possible before work starts!! Jackson loves to travel. He sleeps the entire way to the lake house (2-3 hours). I think he sleeps better in his car seat than he does in his crib! HA!
7/13/10: Aunt Alli stopped by and we had a great visit! She even brought Baby J a precious little sleeveless onesie outfit. I might add...he looks so stinking cute in it!
7/16/10: Mommy, Baby J and Daddy packed up there bags and headed over to Gigi and Papa J's house to spend the weekend there. Cousin Griffin was there while J and Alli celebrated their 6th anniversary!!! CONGRATS Jason and Alli!!! Jackson had so much fun hanging with his cousin Griffin. Griffin also enjoyed the company and loved being pushed in Jackson's portable swing!
7/17/10: Daddy, Jason and Papa J enjoyed some golf while mommy, Jackson, Aunt Alli and Gigi went furniture shopping for the outdoor patio in Lakeway. I think Jackson would have rather been golfing (he got a little fussy when we were shopping) but then he fell asleep and did great for the rest of the day. After golf, we all went to eat dinner at The Houstonian. Griffin and Jackson loved it because we had the restaurant to ourselves and they could pretty much do what they wanted to!
7/22/10: Uncle Brent and Tiffany came in town and we all went to a family lunch at Los Tios. Jackson loves spending time with Brent and Tiffany. I think Uncle Brent felt a little more comfortable with Jackson because he's such a chunky monkey now and not near as fragile as he once was. Uncle Brent and Tiffany even brought Jackson a souvenir from Colorado (a blue onesie that says "party in my crib--2 AM). We can't wait for Jackson to be able to wear it! After lunch, Jackson, mom and Gigi drove to San Antonio, TX to visit Gigi's friend that came in town from Miami, FL. We went to a baseball game and Jackson had so much fun. Before the baseball game we took Jackson to meet Brandon's great uncle and great aunt, Sophie and Cecil. Talk about being in GREAT shape for an 88 year old great, great uncle and great, great, Aunt! Aunt Sophie carried Jackson around while giving us a tour of her beautiful home! I know they enjoyed meeting baby J and he enjoyed it just as much! He was hamming it up for Aunt Sophie the whole time. One of my favorite memories of this trip: Gigi and me and Jackson in the Whataburger parking lot at 10 PM changing Jackson in to his pajamas, feeding him a bottle and eating our dinner before we hit the road to our next adventure: Lakeway!
7/23/10: So we left San Antonio about 10 PM and drove to Lakeway and got to the lake house about midnight. It was a long day for us but a great one! On Saturday, Jackson had his first babysitter! She is a precious Lake Travis high school graduate who will soon be going to Texas Tech University. Jackson loves Kasey and he was so comfortable with her and vise versa. We all felt at ease when we met her...she exudes confidence and loves kids...what else could you ask for? We enjoyed some much needed adult time on the lake with Lynne and Walter and Sarah and Ross....fun in the sun! Afterwards we all came back to the lake house and had dinner and Kasey (the babysitter) even stayed for dinner!
7/24/10: We drove home from the lake house and stopped to get a burger from Hruska's in Ellinger, TX. I think it's the best burger I've ever had and B loved it too. I can't wait for Jackson to be able to split a burger with his momma! :) Uncle Brent, Tiffany and Grammy came over for another visit before they left for the airport to go back to Colorado. We had a fun time visiting and catching up with all the action that went on at Moulton Jamboree. ****Highlights**** -Jackson sleeps an average of 10-12 hours a night (he started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks old)-Jackson started sleeping in his crib in his room this month-Jackson smiles every morning when I wake him up from his big boy bed-Jackson found his hands and loves to look at them, hold them together like he's praying and chew on them!-Jackson now recognizes mommy and daddy's voices and when daddy gets home he gets so excited!-Jackson giggles a little bit (mainly when his Papa J gets him on a roll) :)-Jackson just started making his legs stiff when you try to put him in the swing and he doesn't want to get in it (he literally just started doing this today)--it's cute now but I know I won't be thinking so when I need him to really go in the swing! :)
****Jackson's stats at his 2 month appt.****
12 lbs. 5 oz. (75%)
23.75 inches (90%)
head circumference was 12 in. (5%)
--clean bill of health--
This weekend Jackson gets to meet my best friend from college and her husband and one of Brandon's best friends from high school at the lake house. I know he will get so spoiled! We can't wait for the many more journey's and will try to keep you posted! I'm attaching some pictures of this month's adventures to this email...enjoy!
We love you all and Jackson is blessed to have everyone in his life!
