Jackson was so excited to wake up on Christmas morning at his Gigi and Papa J's house. Jackson and Griffin made Santa a plate to put his cookies on with the imprints of their hands. We woke up to many gifts and toys in the living room. This holiday was so special for us. My favorite quote from Brandon was, "We need to make sure to really enjoy Jackson's 1st Christmas with him because there will never be another 1st Christmas for him". When he told me that it made me slow down, soak in the moment and relax with Jackson. We have been so blessed with our son and we can't even imagine life without him now. This Christmas was so special because we were able to visit both sides of the family. On Christmas day, Jackson got many toys from Gigi and Papa J, including a car to take walks in and a Radio
Flyer wagon, which we can't wait to use! Jason, Alli and Griffin also spoiled Jackson with many toys, clothes and an amazing toy bag for
Jackson's room, which we desperately needed after Christmas. :) Griffin got an electric Jeep and the boys had so much fun playing with it. Griffin drove Jackson around for a little bit and then they both wanted out. It was adorable!
Jackson was able to spend time with his great grandma (Bop) and Aunt Ramona, Uncle Don, cousins Joshua and Lindsey. Aunt Ramona made it to the house only 2 days after having Chemo. We were so glad to see her and see her in such high spirits. Uncle Don enjoyed spending time with Jackson. We called him the Baby Whisperer....he is so good with any baby! Jackson adores Uncle Don!
After we opened gifts, the entire family came over to my parent's house. My dad grilled steaks and we had twice baked potatoes, asparagus and a delicious salad for 35 people. It was scrumptious. That's what Christmas is all about...the kids having a blast and spending time with family and acknowledging what Jesus gave up for us!
